Serving the Atlanta and Tri-City areas - All Are Welcome!
The Tri-City Alcoholic Rehabilitation Association, Inc. (T.A.R.A. Club) is a long-running 501(c)(3) non-profit that services the entire State of Georgia.
In 1974, Connie Hendrix purchased the original Tri-City Alcoholic Rehabilitation Association building in Hapeville GA. Upon her passing, Hendrix willed the balance of the mortgage of the building (roughly $23,500) to T.A.R.A. Club so that the organization would always have a place to meet and maintain sobriety.
Our focus is on helping individuals struggling with alcohol misuse to heal, energize and grow as people.
Since our inception in 1973, we have achieved this by guiding our participants in every step of their journey, either through workshops, sober fun activities or just by providing a safe place to meet.
Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals in our community struggling with alcohol misuse.
We aid in the recovery of suffering alcoholics who express a willingness and readiness to help themselves, and follow the 12-step program laid out by Alcoholics Anonymous. Families, friends and loved ones
are involved in the process, so we have the highest chance of our participants being successful
and becoming prominent community members once again.
Additionally, we provide a meeting facility for AA groups and their families,
as well as Al-Anon and multi-cultural groups.
Our vision is to provide social services, educational programs, and special activities for our members along with those within the community, including their families, through the provision of outreach and supportive services. In the upcoming years, we envision our organization expanded our services to extend to the broader community of those who have loved ones suffering from alcoholism.
At our core, we are focused on strengthening the lives of our participants with integrity, honesty, fairness, full accountability, superior customer service and quality care, full inclusion, and with an unwavering willingness to learn, via teamwork and shared passion.
Everyone that is a part of, or represents, the T.A.R.A. Club. adheres to these values,
and believes in fostering a transparent, supportive and communicative relationship
within the community it serves.
