What does service work mean in AA, 12 steps 12 traditions? As AA founder Bill Wilson noted in alcoholics anonymous Legacy of Service, service work encompasses any act which serves to keep the program alive so that others may profit from a sense of community and fellowship. 12 step recovery begins with you!
The only requirement for AA membership is an honest desire to stop drinking. We are not allied with any particular faith, sect or denomination, nor do we oppose anyone. We simply wish to be helpful to those who are afflicted.
